Rumors from the job postings

Cryptic isn't saying anything official about it yet, but on their job listings they are looking for a PS3 programmer. Since the only games they have in development at the moment are Champions Online and Star Trek Online, it seems as though they may be making a more sincere push towards the console MMO market. Most companies only aim for the Xbox 360 when they talk about console MMOs. That's because an Xbox is much more like a computer than a console, at least on the programming level. Going to the PS3 shows a whole new level of commitment.

"We have developed a flexible, cutting edge MMO platform to power games like Champions and Star Trek Online," reads the job ad.

"It runs on PC and Xbox 360 - now we want to support PS3 too."

Who knows. Maybe we'll see an MMO on the Wii someday.
