If
the tutorial quests seemed easy, then you'll enjoy the increased
difficulty of the quests in the Forest of Spirits. If you found
yourself pressed for time when managing your squad in battle or thought
some of the commands were confusing during the tutorial, then hang on
tight. Things are about to get a lot harder. Keep in mind that the
names of the NPCs change from one starter area to the next, but all of
the quests are the same. This information for this guide comes from the
Forest of Spirits near Pusan.



Part
I of the Forest of Spirits quests introduces the player to the guardian
of the forests who wants to find out what is making all of the animals
so hostile. Along the way, she'll help you learn to play better.

PART I - Joo Hye

Quest Log

Joo Hye stands directly in front of you, waiting to start your
adventure. Her first task for you is to explore your quest log and find
her name. The goal is to teach you how to find out what quests you have
to complete and who gave you the quest. You can carry out Joo Hye's
orders by clicking Game Info and then Quest Log or by pressing Alt + L.
Doing this nets you 30XP and Life Potion (Low) x3.

  style="font-weight: bold;">The Strange Spirits

Joo Hye tells you a bit about the strange happenings in the
forest
and asks you to bring her ten portions of Spirit Powder from the nearby
Sky Spirits and Evil Sky Spirits so she can get to the bottom of the
disturbance. You can see the enemies nearby, so there is no hunt
involved. Instead, you should be paying attention to the behavior of
the two different mobs in battle. href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/50258">Sky Spirits
use simple attacks in the standard MMOG behavior model. Meanwhile, href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/50257">Evil Sky
Spirits can use a very powerful spell called Nike's Spell
Book.

A
blast from Nike can nearly kill a front line character, but the spell
takes a while to charge. You know the Evil Sky Spirit has started
preparing the spell because an icon appears above her head with two
orange dots. On your next attack round, you should do everything you
can to hit that mob and interrupt her casting. As you damage her, the
orange dots gray out, and she has to concentrate another round. Of
course, the easiest thing to do is to kill her. If an Evil Sky Spirit
in the back row is prepping Nike, several mercs and heroes can still
reach her: archer, spearman, gunner, and cannon.

Return to Joo Hye for 40XP, 500 gold, and Healing Potion x10.

Signs

Next Joo Hye requests three pieces of clay from the
Sky
Spirits. Just go mow them down and come back for another 40XP, 500
gold, and the Action: Sit item.

Whenever

It's time to learn about actions, so Joo Hye teaches you how
to use
the Sit command. First, use the Action: Sit item you got for completing
Special Signs
(just right-click
it from a slot in your hero's inventory). Now press the X key to get
your hero to sit. Doing so regenerates HP and MP every few seconds.
Your rewards include 40XP and Spirit Equipment Box x3.

of the Forest

Joo Hye thinks she knows how to fix the problems in the
forest, but
she lacks the acumen to make the required potion. She asks you to some
of the spirit powder to and seek aid from Doctor Huh near Pusan. Travel
through the nearby blue glowing tile to enter the woods near Pusan. You
won't have to travel far to find him.
