Continuing the series of guides for the level 20 armor quests, I now give to you...the leather armor guide!  As a monk, I happened to have loved the armor quests.  It's when I got my first gi, and it started my obsession with needing to have a gi equipped always.  The armor quests leveled me through my 20s, and the armor lasted me well into my 30s.  It's one of the few series of quests that I actually wanted to do on my own accord, as there is nothing more satisfying than completing it, and having a nice set of gear to show for it.  A downside we found is the bruisers don't get gi's, they get typical leather armor, which is just a shame.

While the quests are the same, and the rewards are the same basic pieces, the actual armor stats will vary depending on what class you are.  And the stats are truly what make this series of quests worthwhile.  You just cannot get better armor for the cost of nothing!

Qeynos Light Armor

For Qeynos, you will start your leather armor quest in South Qeynos and with the NPC, Selwyn Oakheart (loc 444, -19, 188).  She has errands that she would like for you to run for her, and she will reward you for each one that you complete.  These quests become more difficult as you go, so you might want to bring a few friends for some portions of it.  You must be level 20 to start this series of quests.

"Selwyn's Errands - Part I" - Selwyn first asks you to slay 12 Caltorsis clerics, and 4 Sabertooth Runecasters.  The clerics are found up at the Ruins of Caltorsis (loc -2029, +14, -443), and are level 18 solo mobs.  They are a little bit more sparse than the other mobs in the area, but they do spawn regularly.  The Sabertooth runecasters (loc -1321, -15, +293) are found off the Qeynos Highway, and are in level 17 heroic groups.  Reward:  Gloves.

"Selwyn's Errands - Part II" - For the second part of this series, Selwyn sends you to kill 16 hulking stalkers, 20 plaguebringer alcolytes, and 6 Varsoon apprentices.  The hulking stalkers (loc -1565, -1, -700) spawn across the river from the Ruins of Caltorsis.  The plaguebringer alcolytes spawn in the same general area along the waters edge.  You may have to clear out the groups of Caltorsites for them to spawn.  The Varsoon apprentices spawn just outside the Ruins of Varsoon in the Thundering Steppes.  All these mobs can be reasonably solo'd   Reward:   Forearm piece.

"Selwyn's Errands - Part III" - Selwyn sends you on a mission to slay 8 feign zombies and 8 sealed strongboxes.  Both of these are found inside of Stormhold.  The feign zombies (loc +9, -24, -120) are found near the entrance to the Library and come in level 23 heroic groups.  The strongboxes (loc -88, -32, -180) spawn inside the Library in a room off of the main room (find the entrance to the Library on the floor in the area with the feign zombies).  The strongboxes are level 23 and 24 heroics.  Reward:  Boots.

"Selwyn's Errands - Part IV" - For this portion of the quests, you will be heading into the Crypt of Betrayal.  You'll need to kill 20 deathly scarabs, 10 restless corpses, and 15 forsaken shrillers.  You'll want to enter the Crypt from the southern most entrance in Vermin's Snye.  I found the deathly scarabs and the shrillers right up front near the entrance, in the solo variety.  The restless corpses (loc +120, +7, -99) are a little further in and spawn in level 22 heroic groups.  Reward: Shoulder piece.

"Selwyn's Errands - Part V" - Off to the Thundering Steppes!  Selwyn has you hunting down 8 Dead River knights, 12 Firerock giants, 12 mighty griffons, and 12 corpse feeders.  The Dead River knights are found in the Dead River basin (loc +183, -12, +725) and are both solo and heroic.  The Firerock giants are found on the ledge above the Dead River basin and are heroic as well as solo.  The mighty griffons spawn in Thundermist Valley (loc +1130, -2, -67) and are level 25 and 26 heroics.  The corpse feeders (loc +555, -22, +169) spawn in the basin between the two bridges.  Reward:  Leggings.

"Selwyn's Errands - Part VI" - Back to the Thundering Steppes for the final part of this quest series!  You are almost done, yay!  Selwyn asks you to slay for her 8 Deathbone berserkers, 12 Sabertooth fishermen, 10 rumblers, and lastly, Shadowdash.  The Deathbone berserkers (loc 130, -22, 753) are in heroic groups found in the same area that you found the Dead River knights.  The Sabertooth fisherman (loc +1216, +5, -320) can be found outside the Sabertooth den.  The earth rumblers (loc 886, -16, 1195) are located in and around the caves near the southern coast.  Finally, you must kill the named griffon Shadowdash.  He pops in the griffon fields (loc 1143, -1, 72) when the person with the quest roams through the area, and is a level 25 ^^^ heroic.  Reward:  Chest piece.

Freeport Light Armor

The Freeport series of light armor quests starts with Vassi Darkscale (loc -75,-11,-77) found in the Jade Tiger Inn in North Freeport.  He will give you a series of quests, the following quest will be opened when the previous quest has been completed.

"Vassi's Orders - Part I" - Vassi Darkscale asks you to go kill 18 Fallen Crusaders and Jareth Blackshield. The Fallen Crusaders are in the Ruins of Val Marr in the Commonlands (524.12, -55.51, 500.64), and can be found as both solo and heroic mobs.  Jareth Blackshield, who is also located in the Commonlands (-390.70, -60.27, -880.77), is a tougher than average solo mob.  Reward:  Gloves.

"Vassi's Orders - Part II" - The second part of the quest takes you down into the Fallen Gate. You'll need to kill 5 Thexian Excavators, 9 Thexian Dragoons, and a Thexian Overseer. All of which has been conveniently placed at the entrance into the Fallen Gate at (-21.79, 0.00, 46.18).  Reward:  Forearm piece.

"Vassi's Orders - Part III" - This will once again take you down into the Fallen Gate. Vassi has asked you to kill 2 Tortured Raiders, 12 Mindless Corpses, and 4 Blighted Denizens. The Blighted Denizens are located in the Old Market area at (106.68, 7.42, -82.54). The Tortured Raiders and The Mindless Corpses are located in the area around the Pool of Percelia (25.25, 6.81, -117.73). The Mindless Corpses are uncommon spawns. Pack a lunch, cause it'll be awhile.  Reward: Boots.

"Vassi's Orders - Part IV" - This quest takes you into the Edgewater Drains. You are asked to kill 12 Contaminated Rats, 10 Murkwater Henchmen, and 12 Rotting Globules. The Contaminated Rats are located throughout the sewer tunnels around (133.58, 16.00, 3.09). The Rotting Globules are also located through out the sewer tunnels in the upper level of the Edgewater Drains. The Murkwater Henchmen are located around (100.84, 33.02, 92.79).  Reward:  Shoulder piece. 

"Vassi's Orders - Part V" - This quest takes you into Nektulos Forest. Vassi asks you to kill 4 Followers of Grelkor, 8 Deathbloom Treants, 10 Ash Owlbears, and 1 Nerius Pirate Captain. The Nerius Pirate Captain can be found in any of the Pirate Camps up and down the Nektulos Beach. The Ash Owlbears have been relocated to (-650.03, 60.90, 215.31). Grelkor's Followers are located at (-548.76, 60.37, -1290.19) standing around a group of purple mushrooms with a green smoky skeleton inside. They also moved the Deathbloom treants to the area of (-159.22, 88.55, -1997.73).  Reward: Leggings

"Vassi's Orders - Part VI" - The last quest in the series takes you back to Nektulos Forest. Vassi asks you to kill 2 Mist Grinnin Savages, 10 Elder Ash Owlbears, 12 Scrounging Ghouls, and Narek Bonecarver. Narek Bonecarver will spawn as you come across the wooden planks from Nektulos Forest onto Nektulos Beach. He's a 25^^^ mob with two friends. The Scrounging Ghouls are located at (-645.27, 6.67, -296.82). The Elder Ash Owlbears are loctaed a little further back from the Ash Owlbears at (-965.61, 65.42, -130.21). The Mist Grinnin Savages are located next to the D'Abth Bridge at (172.00, 2.00, -650.00).  Reward:  Chest piece.
