It's interesting to read how money is made to fund the big-name titles in videogames and MMOGs. I mean, unless you're a company like Blizzard there's got to be some sort of fund-raising going on behind the scenes to pay the people that make the game and get it from idea to reality.
But even then, money doesn't guarantee success. Everyone and their mother is out there to figure out, even four years later, just how Blizzard struck oil with World of Warcraft. I don't put a logo on the shirts of these two rival game designers, because I honestly think just about every company is out there trying to figure out how to replicate on some level WoW's heaping success.
I know not everyone plays WoW. I know it's not perfect. But game developers would be silly to not be at least glancing over the shoulder of Blizzard Entertainment and analyzing where they get their magic from. And while all they may really have to do is play Blizzard's game, I prefer to think that they go all Mission Impossible like the idiots seen above.
Oh, and one last thing about these comics. How are you all liking the single-panel entries? It's sort of from a love of Gary Larson and Wiley Miller that I decided to try it out, and I think I dig the way the jokes are more brief and abrupt. Of course, I'm nowhere near their skill-level when it comes to cartooning or humor but practice makes less-than-perfect right?

That he is...
I've got to figure out a way to lose some of my verbositude though... yes, I made that word up. That is, if I ever want to match his Witfullness Supreme... I made that one up too. Larson could say so much without saying anything sometimes. It always astonished me as a kid and even still as an adult.
Still, looking at my early stuff from my Lost in Hyboria days, I do have to remember I've come a long way already.
Gary Larson is always win --
Gary Larson is always win -- and the single-panel comics have been just as good as the others, JB.
