Ten Ton Hammer - Taking MMO Gamers to the Next Level!

This series of quests is to take Rodcet Nife on as your chosen deity. Having a deity is not needed to enjoy the game, but it adds extra abilities and buffs that you wouldn’t otherwise have that can be very useful in combat! The quests are meant to progress through your character’s lifetime so remember to visit the prophet when you’ve leveled high enough to progress the series. If you are already at level cap, then moving through the quests is fairly quick and can be done in a matter of hours.

The first step in getting started is accepting Rodcet Nife as your character’s deity. In order to do this you must speak with his prophet, Bainyn Fairwind found in North Qeynos inside the Temple of Life (take the portal in). He’ll tell you a little about Rodcet Nife then ask if you wish to choose him as your deity. If you already are following a god, you will need to return to your current deity’s altar or prophet and renounce that deity before you may follow a new one.  Please keep in mind that you do need to be of good alignment to take Rodcet Nife as your god.

After you’ve accepted Rodcet Nife, you will be given your first quest and you may progress through the series as quickly or slowly as you’d like, assuming minimum required levels are met.

Strange Occurrences
Minimum Level: 25
Unlocks Abilities: Healing Prayers and Ward of Devotion

Your means of showing devotion.

I have met a man by the name of Bainyn Fairwind who claims to be the Prophet of Rodcet Nife.
He has asked that I investigate some strange happenings as an initial test to become a follower of
Rodcet Nife. Search for clues to Anashti Sul's involvement with the new undead showing up in Antonica.

These graves are found throughout Antonica and look like mounds of dirt with several gravestones scattered about. Each grave you approach will spawn a level 19 solo undead which you will need to kill to get the update. I managed to get more than one undead to spawn at the grave sites when I moved away from the grave then back on it for more than one update per gravesite.

Gravesite locations:

• Just north of Sayre's Cabin across the roads. (loc: -645, 12, 17)
• Follow the rock southeast of Sayre's Cabin. (loc: -965, -6, 429)
• Found below the cliff that holds Vhalen's Tower. (loc: -1289, -15, 69)
• Found just after the covered bridge up on the north side of the pass to Gnollslayer Highlands. (loc: -1794, 9, 285)
• Just east of the waterfall that leads to Thundering Steppes. (loc: -1839, -14, 827)

The quest completes when you return to Bainyn in North Qeynos.


Down the Drain
Minimum Level: 35
Unlocks Abilities: Arcane Soothing and Empowered Prayer

Now that you have completed the initial quest, you may move on to the next step in wooing Rodecet Nife with your desire to please him. Bainyn Fairwind asks you to investigate the source of a disease said to be spreading beneath Freeport in the Edgewater Drains.

Your choice of reward!

The first trick is to get there. You'll need to head across the Commonlands and enter The Sprawl. From The Sprawl, go down into the Serpent Sewer and take the manhole into Edgewater Drain: level 1. Once inside Edgewater, travel straight ahead then turn south at the first intersection. This will take you right to the Agent of Bertoxxulous. He's a level 37 single arrow up mob which makes him challenging but still should be soloable for the average player.

Now wouldn't you know it? The Agent of Bertoxxulous managed to infect you with something questionable! Return to Bainyn and he will send you on a mission to find the components for the cure starting in Zek, The Orcish Wastes. Here you will need to speak with Viddle Sprocketbender who is found right there on the docks from the bell. Buy from him the Distilled Oaken Root vial for 6s. Then head to your nearest broker or alchemist and grab a Superb Noxious Remedy, which is a crafted item. I got mine off the broker for 14s but if you are on a lower population server you may have to ask around for the remedy. Return these items back to Bainyn and you will be cured AND you've complete this quest!


The Spread of Undeath
Minimum Level: 50
This quest is heroic and may require a group to complete.
Unlocks Abilities: Soothing Thoughts and Devout Healing

Continuing your work for the Prophet, you are now off to investigate reports of large numbers of undead in the Commonlands. Here you will need to enter the instance Befallen: Cavern of the Afflicted. This is a scaled heroic dungeon so you will either have to fight your way through with a group or if you are high enough level (you’ll need to be 70-80 for it to work well) then you can mentor down to another player’s level. To do this, mentor the lower level player (level 50 is optimal), enter the instance with the other player, and then unmentor. This will gray the zone out and make everything harmless and pretty much worthless for any of the zone’s good loot and rewards basically just allowing you to complete this quest unhindered.

Get a wisdom boost from this Healing Companion.

Regardless of which way you do it, as you make your way through the zone you are looking for "a wandering entity". These are NPCs that you'll only need to talk to in order to progress your quest.

• a wandering entity main level, down the hall just from the entrance. (loc: 11, -1, -1)
• a wandering entity lower level, go down the well and follow the path deeper in. (loc: 110, -55, -118)
• a wandering entity lower level, continue down the path from the previous entity and into the Bonegrinder Lair. (loc: 141, -71, -141)

Once you've spoken with each entity, you can call back out to Qeynos and complete this quest! Your reward for this quest is a deity pet in the form of a valkyrie "Healing Companion" which increases your wisdom by 33.


Spreading the Cure
Minimum Level: 65
Unlocks Abilities: Tranquil Blessing and Soothing Spirit

The Prophet now gives you the mission of spreading the cure throughout Norrath. This quest will take you all over and all you have to do is speak with each NPC.

• Ry'na Easadana in Lavastorm inside Najena's Dungeon (loc: -87, -129, 339)
• Abel Haleborn in Everfrost just outside entrance to Miragul's Phylactery. (loc: -179, 10, -431)
• Alodia Lifespring in Loping Plains just inside Somborn. (loc: -412, 10, -18)
• Sadami Ishigoki in the Isle of Mara inside the Village of Shin, just across the water from the bell. (loc: -34, 3, -25)
• Giddy Sprysprocket in Bonemire. Found inside the alcove at the Drednever Crashsite. (loc: -44, 43, 561)
• Jayashri in Maj'dul just across the entrance to the Court of the Blades. (loc: 21, 149, 131)
• Celest I'alna in Kylong Plains at Teren's Grasp. From the sokokar post go up the northern stairs to the upper level (loc: 2162, 520, -896)
• Fresa Wealgear in Steamfont Mountains Gnomeland Security. Follow the path all the way inside the headquarters. (loc: -594, 174, 1080)

This quest rewards you with your deity's embellished altar and leads you into the final quest for the series.


Once in Life as Well in Undeath
Minimum Level: 70
This is a heroic quest and nearly all players will require a group to complete.
Unlocks Abilities: Gift of Devotion and Armor of Faith

Prophet Bainyn sends you on the ultimate test of faith! Go to the Coastal Grove in Antonica, found on the northeastern part of the zone. Here you will find a manifested portal (loc: -2323, -31, -758) that will take you into an instance called "Pantheon of the Prime Healer".

The Rodcet Nife Cloak

Once inside the zone (nothing attacks in here) you will see the Avatar of Health and you'll need to speak with her. She will tell you of how the Seeress' tomb has been tampered with and will ask that you investigate this act of blasphemy.

The tomb is found just north of the North Qeynos gate as a manhole (loc 137, -14, -191) beneath one of the water system arches. Inside you will find Seeress Ealaynya's corpse and some bad man doing questionable things to her. The Seeress reanimates and attacks you. She's only a level 73^^^ but she hits hard and I couldn't solo her at level 80 so I brought in a friend and my duo took her down in a steady fight.

Once the Seeress is dead, you return to the manifested portal and speak with the Avatar of Health to complete this quest and the series!

Congratulations, you are now a devoted follower of Rodcet Nife and have unlocked all the blessings and miracles for this deity. All you need to do now is maintain favor via offerings and you may switch out abilities as desired!
