Funcom's 1st Quarter Financial Report for 2009 is in and the company is showing positive signs of growth thanks to an increase in subscribers for their top MMORPG, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. The positive growth is partially attributed to an increase in subscribers for the game and a strong retention rate giving the game a solid and stable playerbase. Despite the problems Age of Conan had post launch, the game is recovering nicely and the first quarter of 2009 looks positive for Funcom.

The positive indications on subscriber retention from January 2009 has been reinforced and strengthened in the following months for the Age of

Conan game. This combined with an increase in new customers in Q1 2009 has led to a stable and solid subscriber base for the Game.
