The Agency is a spy-based MMOG currently in development by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). This new MMOG will allow players to take part in the spy game between two faction, the Super Unite and Paragon. Eurogamer.net recently got a chance to visit SOE's Seattle office and preview the game's pre-E3 2009 version. Eurogamer was able to get a look at the game running on both the PC and PS3, proving that cross-platform play could be possible. New locations were also previewed as Eurogamer previewed some of the multi-player missions for the game. Eurogamer also goes into detail on the advancement system for the game and how potential agents will rank up and the benefits that come with a new rank, PvP, mechanics and much more

So first off, you have your rank within your agency. The higher your rank, the more operatives you can have, the higher rank they can be, the more stuff you can use, the more places you can go. And you increase your rank by completing career missions. Then you have your role, the thing you use to complete those career missions and explore the world - your combat, stealth and support, switching freely between them. As you complete either career or side missions, you're getting XP for your roles, unlocking new titles which unlock new skills and outfits and attachments and accessories.
