There are a lot of MMOGs that end up having to merge their servers after launch, but the same is not proving true for Turbine's flagship MMORPG, The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO). With over two years of live service, LOTRO is still gaining subscribers according to Turbine's Aaron Campbell, live producer for the game. In a recent chat with VG247.com, Aaron was asked if the game had seen a decline on some of the servers or if Turbine was considering a server merger. In response, Aaron states that if anything the games population was on the rise.

“If anything, The Lord of the Rings Online is growing,” he told us. “We have no plans to merge servers. “And please don’t mention it, it makes me twitch unpleasantly.”
