Mark Jacobs is speaking out for the first time about his departure from EA Mythic. In a post on his personal blog titled, "All Things Must Come to an End", Jacobs talks about the reasons for his departure from EA Mythic.

Early in May, Electronic Arts let me know that they wanted to make some changes within the Games Label and as a result of those changes I have been out of the office (and out of touch with the team, game, etc.) since that day.

Mark Jacobs went on to mention that he will be using his blog over the next few weeks to thanks certain people, companies and maybe even a couple of surprise shout outs. Despite the changes, Jacobs isn't bashing EA or anyone there, and he had a message for anyone expecting his blog to be a source of drama.

Over the next few weeks I will be using this blog to thank certain people and companies for their efforts over the years.  There will be a lot of praise, a couple of mea culpas (I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t deliver some of those) and maybe a couple of surprise shout outs.  So, I expect this space to be pretty busy for a while.  However, if you are looking or expecting me to damn EA or anyone there, you will be sorely disappointed.

We at Ten Ton Hammer would like to wish Mark Jacobs the best in whatever he chooses to pursue in the future.
