Sony Online Entertainment has seen a few employees come and a few go lately, the most notable being the newest Senior Community Manager Linda Carlson. Linda has been a pillar of the SOE community across several games for many years and you might recognize her as the beer and beard laden "Brasse" from her own blog and comic as well as her time around the community forums. I had the pleasure of meeting her briefly at this year's San Diego Comic Con and with her reputation, I can say no other dwarf could do the job better!

So what do I actually DO here as a Senior Community Manager? I’ll paraphrase the description that my colleague, Craig Dalrymple, uses: I manage Community Managers. I oversee schedules, review and create reports (ohhhh, how we love reports), provide backup and support for my Community Managers when things go bump in the night, assist with editing duties, offer advice and direction, keep abreast of constantly changing game information, talk with gamers and fan sites, coordinate actions and initiatives with my fellow Senior Managers and our Director, Rich Schmelter.
