WoW Guide: Frenzyheart and Oracle Reputations

Having trouble trying to find out how to switch factions? Join ChuckGolds as he takes us on an adventure through Sholazar Basin. While there, he will show us how to get started with the Frenzyheart and Oracle quest chains leading up to the dailies that allow you to reach exalted.

The real journey through Sholazar Basin isn’t necessarily the Hemet Nesingwary quest chain, it’s actually the extremely long daunting grind through both of these factions.  To lighten the load and make it a little less daunting I will show you how much reputation you earn from each daily quest from both factions.  Also I will explain how to make the switch from one faction to the other so you can earn the achievement Mercenary of Scholazar.

The journey starts with a quest called The Part-time Hunter.  The Part-time Hunter requires level 76 and is given by Tamara Wobblesprocket at Lakeside Landing.

This is the exact order of quests leading to choosing your first faction.  At first you will begin doing quests for the Frenzyhearts, then make your way to the Oracles.

  • The Part-time hunter
  • Playing Along
  • The Ape Hunter’s Slave
  • Tormenting the Softknuckles
  • The Wasp Hunter's Apprentice
  • The Sapphire Queen
  • Flown the Coop
  • The Underground Menace
  • Mischief in the Making
  • A Rough Ride
  • Lightning Definitely Strikes Twice
  • The Mist Isn't Listening
  • Hoofing It
  • Just Following Orders
When you locate the Oracle shaman for Just Following Orders you will then begin doing quests for the Oracles.  Don’t be alarmed when your reputation drastically switches.
  • Fortunate Misunderstandings
  • Make the Bad Snake Go Away
  • Making Peace
  • Gods like Shiny Things
  • Back So Soon?
  • Forced Hand
  • The Lost Mistwhisper Treasure
  • Home Time!
  • The Angry Gorloc
  • The Mosswalker Savior
  • Lifeblood of the Mosswalker Shrine
Now you have a quest in your log called A Hero’s Burden.  This quest tells you to kill an elite mob named Artruis the Heartless.  When he reaches 30% health the two NPCs next to him will be released from their prisons and begin attacking you.  To continue attack Artruis you must choose one of the 2 NPCs to eliminate.  This is the decision of which side you are choosing to ally with first.

  • If you kill Zepik the Gorloc Hunter (The Frenzyheart) you are choosing the Oracles, which leads to Frenzyheart Champion.
  • If you kill Jaloot (The Oracle) you are choosing the Frenzyheart, which leads to Hand of the Oracles.

Those two quests lead to the following 8 daily quests for the respected faction you choose.

Frenzyheart Daily Quests: In order by rep per quest / alphebetical.

Kartak’s Rampage 700 Rep
Secret Strength of the Frenzyheart 700 Rep
Tools of War 700 Rep
A Hero’s Headgear 500 Rep
Chicken Party! 500 Rep
Rejek: First Blood 500 Rep
Strength of the Tempest 500 Rep
The Heartblood’s Strength 500 Rep

Oracles Daily Quests: In order by rep per quest / alphebetical.

Mastery of the Crystals 700 Rep
Power of the Great Ones 700 Rep
Will of the Titans 700 Rep
A Cleansing Song 500 Rep
Appeasing the Great Rain Stone 500 Rep
Song of Fecundity 500 Rep
Song of Reflection 500 Rep
Song of Wind and Water 500 Rep

Once you reach exalted with your first faction go back to Artruis the Heartless and choose the opposite NPC to save.  There are no pre-required quests to receive the quest from the NPC from the opposing faction.  When you change your reputation with your exalted faction will go directly to hated and your opposing faction will go to honored.  If you follow this guide you will not only earn the 2 achievements seen above but also the following achievements.
