Ten Ton Hammer takes a look at Fallen Earth.

What do you do when the world's population has been decimated, governments have fallen, and the world lies in ruin? Grab a gun, choose your allies, and join the fight for survival. This is the theme of Fallen Earth, a new post-apocalyptic MMOG brought to you by Fallen Earth LLC and Icarus Studios. Ten Ton Hammer recently had the chance to check out the game and you can find out what we thought about it here.

A super virus has wiped out a large chunk of the world’s population, seeding distrust across the nations of the world and leading to nuclear strikes that kill even more. People are dead and the world is in chaos. If you want to survive you'll need to toughen up, choose your allies, and most importantly, start packing a lot of heat.

Nice review - I agree with everything you write, although I find crafting much more fun than you apparently do. Sure, once you start the crafting process, it is pretty simple. So simple, you can run off and do other things while you are crafting. I think your write up was pretty honest. I've made it to level 8 so far in the free trial doing a crafter/hand2hand build. Take your time to talk to npc's and explore the world and you really get immersed in this turbulent world.

Resource harvesting does seem slow at times but only because there are so many types needed for the recipes. I enjoy...

Thanks to Ten Ton Hammers free key givaway , I have been able to try this one out - I was on the fence - hearing good and bad things about it, and as have been playing Aion this last month, didn't really want to jump in to another time sink... the free key allowed me to dip my toes in the water without too much investment...

As mentioned in the review, the combat takes some getting used to, so much in fact, after starting a character and trying it for 30 minutes I had said this isn't for m...

I've been playing Fallen Earth since prelaunch (last few days of headstart) and I must say that there are few games out there that have kept my interest after the free month (MMOs that is). The game is extremely immersive and one can finally go explore a large world without being funneled constantly from one quest hub to the next. Sure, the quests play a large part in the game, but most are there just to give players some direction and not to provide the main content of the game.
