The gaming industry isn't immune to the economic crisis after all. Slipgate Ironworks, a California-based MMOG developer founded by id Software veteran John Romero, has undergone a round of layoffs Gamasutra reports. The layoffs are part of a refocusing plan by parent company Gazillion Entertainment. As always our best wishes go out to those affected.
