Popular World of Warcraft Mounts and How to Get Them!

Updated Thu, May 05, 2011 by Mem

A player goes rushing by and in that brief second you find you have become sure of one thing;, you must have that mount. Whether you’re an avid collector or just an average Joe struck by fancy to , you are willing to go to great lengths to obtain the mount of your dreams. If only you knew where it came from! This guide will attempt to help you collect the mount you so desire but be advised that some mounts will take more dedication than others, and to obtain some will prove to be nothing short of frustrating.

Quest Reward Mounts

Venomhide Ravasaur

  • Requirements: Level 40 and Apprentice Riding.
  • Movement: Increases ground speed by 60%/100%.
  • Races: Orc, Undead, Tauren, Troll, Blood Elf, Goblin
To gain this mount travel to the Un’Goro Crater and seek out Mor’vek at the edge of the Crater, just south east of Fire Plume Ridge. Mor’vek will offer you several easy quests to complete. Once you have proven yourself to Mor’vek by completing his quests he will offer you a Venomhide Ravasaur hatchling for you to raise. For the hatchling to fully mature, you will need to collect 20 of it’s baby teeth. The baby teeth are obtained by doing the daily quest offered to you by the hatchling (rather easy collection quests). Once you have collected all 20 teeth, bring them, 20 Runecloth, 80 Gold and 20 Rugged Leather back to Mor’vek for the saddle to your new mount. Keep in mind the teeth are given as a reward for a daily quest, so it will take you 20 days (at least) to get your mount.

White Polar Bear

  • Requirements: Level 40 and Journeyman Riding.
  • Movement: Increases ground speed by 60%/100%.
  • Races: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Draenei, Worgen, Orc, Undead, Tauren, Troll, Blood Elf, Goblin
While doing the quest chains in Storm Peaks you will find yourself turned at one point into one of the Hyldnir (think big beefy blue women). Completing the quests associated with the Hyldnir are not only essential to progression in the zone but will also open up a few daily quests. When these daily quests are completed players will receive Hyldnir Spoils. Inside this bag players will find gold, various junk items (snowballs, food, ect), and perhaps if they are very lucky the Reins of the White Polar Bear. Don’t expect this to drop on your first try though, as this white beauty has around a 1% drop rate. Complete the daily quests here every day to up your chances of getting this awesome mount. How exactly the bear fits inside this bag remains a mystery.

The four quests needed to open up the daily quests are:

Aberrations

Into the Pit

Discipline

Taking on All Challengers

Once the above quests are completed the following daily quests will be unlocked::

The Aberrations Must Die

 Back to the Pit

Maintaining Discipline

Defending Your Title

I really don't understand racism in the real world. People are what people are, regardless of skin pigmentation or where their ancestors came from. There's really only one real-world race - the Human Race - and I loathe everyone equally.
