Vanguard: Saga of Heroes has had a bumpy road since its launch and 2010 will be starting off a little bumpy as well. This week Salim "Silius" Grant posted the teams plans for the coming year. Unfortunately, due to limited resources the team will be shifting their focus to fixing many of the game's bugs, but this will also result in several planned pieces of content being shelved indefinitely such as the Alternate Advancement system, the Halls of Shattered Souls, and other awaited content.

Silius also laid out plans for next year that include attempting to release a chunk of content each month in the form of chapter stories. They are also considering another server merger, but Halgar is not being considered as one of the possible merger options.

As you might expect, some of the community is not too happy about the announcements as another server merger would likely mean housing plots and houses could be reset, but many are disappointed at the indefinite shelving of the Alternate Advancement system, something many players were looking forward to.
