Rumors have been pounding the World of WarCraft community about requiring the Blizzard Authenticator just like they required the Battle.net account merger. Even if the rumors are false, is the authenticator a good deal? Can it really secure your account? We answer all of these questions and more in our latest article on account security.

The Blizzard Authenticator is a small key fob (security token device) no bigger than a stick of gum that has a single button and a small numerical LCD. That LCD will display a six digit code that has to be inputted into the game after your enter your password in order to login. Without someone having physical access to the device it becomes nearly impossible to login to the account even if you know the password.

Keep your account secure with a Blizzard Authenticator or at least find out why with this article.
