AdventureQuest Worlds: Battle the 3rd Lord of Chaos, Kitsune!

It’s the Chaos Shogun Showdown!   

The highly anticipated Chaos Lord Shogun Showdown is finally here! Well, almost… come Friday, 14-million players of the MMO AdventureQuest Worlds (www.AQ.com) will engage in an epic battle versus the third World Boss, Chaos Lord Kitsune. Armed with the Legendary Hanzamune Blade, Kitsune puts up a fight like no other to date. Now, I know you probably hear that saying all the time, but when AQWorlds says it, we actually mean it; brand-new programming and functionality went in to making this Chaos Boss battle different from any other fight in the game. What does that mean exactly? It means you’re going to have to use logic and deductive reasoning to figure out how to defeat Chaos Lord Kitsune (spamming the auto-attack button will no longer be an effective method, lol)! Since Kitsune can change from Human to Fox Spirit form at any given moment—oh the joys of being a shape-shifting Yokai—it is up to you and your party members to figure out just how to defeat the third Lord of Chaos!

Like all Chaos Lords, Kitsune has caused us trouble for quite some time. You first encountered Kitsune at the Dragon Koi Tournament (which is still underway in Akiba) where you and Princess Miko witnessed the theft of the Hanzamune Blade. You bravely traveled though Yokai-infested forests, graveyards, hotels, and riverbeds with hopes of stopping Kitsune before he summoned the Forbidden Chaos Beast, O-dokuro. But as luck—aka prompt programmer decisions—would have it, you were too late. O-dokuro was summoned, and a huge Yokai War broke loose on the Island. (Déjà vu? Kinda—this was last week’s release!)

Defeating Chaos Lord Kitsune is the only way to restore tranquility on Yokai Island. And the only way to obtain super sweet armors, helms, weapons, capes, pets, houses, and house items! Last week alone, 22 brand-new items were added to the game, including 13 Yokai-themed house items. A guaranteed 24 never-before-seen items will greet you in this week’s upcoming release, with more to come… once the artists get them created, that is! Here’s just a little sneak-peak at the loot in “store!”
