Exodus Gets US First Heroic Putricide

Finally a US guild has managed to catch up to the Europeans! The honor goes to Exodus of Ysondre who scored the kill earlier today. They are now tied with the European guilds Paragon, For The Horde, Ensidia, and Wraith.

Update: US Guilds Blood Legion (US-Illidan) and Deus Vox (US-Laughing Skull) joined Exodus tonight also managing kills of Professor Putricide.

Now only The Lich King remains for upper end guilds, but he certainly seems to be a worthy challenge. It's worth noting that no guild on any server has managed to take Arthas down even on 10 player heroic difficulty.

Ten player heroic is typically substantially easier, because it is supposedly tuned for players in gear available from running 10 player instance. The early clears on this difficulty are always by highly geared raiders from 25 player guilds.

The fact that The Lich King remains standing even with dozens of very good guilds working on him on heroic 10 player difficulty suggests that he may end up being the most difficult boss ever added to World of Warcraft. Some preliminary video of the fight shows him doing a General Vezax style Shadow Crash effect which spawns a void zone where it lands in additional to the myriad other stuff going on. Definitely a big challenge.
