Behind the Scenes with Age of Conan's Systems Team

Development of an MMORPG is an evolving process and there are a lot of moving parts at work behind the scenes that many people rarely hear about. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is no different and its systems design team serves as the game's backbone and unsung heroes of development. This week, Funcom's Senior Assistant Community Manager Glen "Famine" Swan takes the community behind the scenes to give them a look at just what this team is responsible for and how they support the game through their work.

When it comes to developing and maintaining the game during its live phase, the systems team is really the backbone for the entire Conan team. They both aid in support for other development divisions and step up to the plate to lead in their own initiatives with new system features. Yet, there is much more to the team than just that and I set out to find out more from the systems team themselves…
