One of the biggest events in competitive World of Warcraft Arena play has come to an end, as the ESL Season IV World Championships came to a close.

Team EG (Evil Geniuses) came out victorious in a 4-1 victory over Dignitas, netting them the grand prize of 25,000 Euro.

In a thrilling Grand Final Evil Geniuses took the lead and turned this into a 4:1 victory over Team Dignitas. Evil Geniuses are now the new Intel Extreme Masters World Champion and will be the team to beat from now on. Congratulations to the team and the organization for winning this prestigious tournament and taking home 25,000 Euro prize money.

The team comprised of Azael, Woundman, and Tenderloin running Rogue/Warlock/Shaman beat out Dignitas' Rogue/Mage/Priest after beating a gauntlet of other difficult teams.

If you're interested you can see the entire tournament brackets at the ESL Europe website as well as video of all the matches including the grand final.

This was somewhat of a come-from-behind victory for team EG, a team that reportedly only really came together a couple days before the tournament. Their dynamic play style and class composition fared well in the Season 5 arena gear that is used on competitive World of Warcraft arena servers.

This is well worth the watch, as are most of the rest of the ESL matches, so take a look. Congratulations EG!
