When World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is released there will be a veritable ton to do in game. Most of it will have to do with working through the many forms of progression. Some are basic and easy to nail down, such as experience and levelling, others are a bit more abstract such as achievements, raid progression, and reputation grinds. This week Byron “Messiah” Mudry looks at the various progression items that are known to be planned for Cataclysm and talks about his wishes for each in Progression in Cataclysm – a wish list.

Let’s start with the most basic progression system: experience points and levels. My first comment here is Boo! Only 5 more levels, what are they thinking! Realistically though the number of levels will not really matter as long as there are enough quests and zones to take you a long time to work through to get to the new max level of 85. For me, I am hoping that it turns out to be longer than in WotLK as levelling felt way too fast to me there.
