Positioned near the planet of Bajor, DS9 is a central hub of commerce in the Alpha Quadrant and has the only know stable wormhole leading to the Gamma Quadrant. In Star Trek Online, Deep Space Nine is a central hub and also a place that players can engage in fleet combat action against a rogue Cardassian faction and Alpha Quadrant Jem'Hadar.
