DC Universe Online Team Talk Fame, Infamy, and Locations

Posted Mon, May 03, 2010 by Martuk

DC Universe Online Game Director Chris Cao and Creative Director Jens Andersen have posted another "Inside the Studio" video where they field questions submitted by the Facebook community about the upcoming superhero-based MMOG. Have you ever wanted to be famous in the game you play? That's just one of the features explained by SOE's dynamic duo in this latest video. Whether you're a hero of great fame or a villain of terrible infamy, your actions can gain you renown throughout the DC Universe and your hero/villain's face on the front page of the game's in-game Daily Planet newspaper. You might even manage to get your hero in an upcoming comic once all the details are worked out.

Everyone knows that you'll be fighting crime in Metropolis and Gotham City, but where do players go for more variety in their adventure or maybe just a little downtime? Fear not, the duo also explained that you'll get to visit other iconic locations like Arkham Asylum and if you want a little downtime, villains can visit the Halls of Doom and heroes can hang out in the Justice League of America Watchtower.

The duo also answered questions about flying powers and the game's detailed customization system that will allow a lot of mixing and matching to create unique characters. Be sure to check out the video and post your questions for next time.
