Do you enjoy designing games or fiddling with code and art assets for online games? Ryzom, the MMORPG from Winch Gate Properties, has announced that the source code for their MMORPG is now available to the Free Software Development Community. Now all the game's source code and art assets are available for use as a free software project. The announcement was made today on the Ryzom website by way of a developer blog.

Winch Gate will be making certain code changes and enhancements to the official Ryzom game and all code developed outside Winch Gate's in-house development staff will be thoroughly reviewed to ensure high quality standards. The source code and other related information can be found on the Ryzom Core Development Portal.
