Aion's server merge plans have been delayed until July 14th, 2010 to allow for a new name changing process to be implemented. With the announcement, NCsoft also explained a new details about the merger relating to character names and the extension of free server transfers. Names will be changed to reflect the server from which a character came from. For example, “Fergreedy” on Azphel would become “FergreedyAZ.” However, players will be granted a free Name Change ticket that they can use to reclaim old names or select new ones on a first come, first served basis.
