NCsoft has announced the next update to City of Heroes with Issue 18: Shades of Gray. The eighteenth free expansion to the superhero-based MMOG will allow all players to buy from both alignments using any Wentworth's Consignment House or Black Market venue. Additionally, heroes and villains will be able to trade Inspiration in co-op zones and through the mailing system. Issue 18 will also reintroduce the Cathedral of Pain. Up to 24 Level 35 to 50 characters will need to work together in the Cathedral of Pain to bring down Ruularu to earn Merit Rewards and rare badges.
