WoW - Cataclysm Experience Levels Tweaked

In the next beta build the minimum level for entering and questing in Mount Hyjal and Vashj’ir will change from level 78 to level 80. All associated creatures will have their levels increased to match the new flow.

Additionally, after careful review and consideration we've decided to increase the hit point values of level 80+ Cataclysm creatures. The new hit point values are roughly double their previous values.

Level 80 (OLD)
16400

Level 80 (NEW)
31000

Players will also now need to be level 80 in order to use the Dungeon Finder System for Throne of Tides and Blackrock Caverns.

Random monsters on the world map may actually require a bit of time to kill in Cataclysm as opposed to the current model of 'press 2 buttons and it explodes'. As fun as it was to run around on my rogue killing monsters for 4000exp each in 1-2 seconds, this may have been necessary.

Don't despair though, the leveling experience may be quicker than you think:

The experience curve is being tweaked so that you will be level 82 upon completing Hyjal. You will be a little over 82 if you opt to do Vashj'ir instead.

Please note that we are in the process of doing some cleanup and polish to both zones so you may very well see quests disappear.

Hyjal, as is, doesn't require more than a few hours to complete. Obviously it's early and that may change, but getting 2 levels a zone and only requiring 5 to cap out seems pretty generous. I'm a fan since I am absolutely awful at leveling and would prefer to get down to the endgame content as soon as possible!

I finally got myself a Razor Naga (Molten Edition)!

About a year ago, I really wanted a naga mouse for my birthday. However, my girlfriend goes to BestBuy and the jerk working there tells her that I wouldn't like the naga because its too hard to push the buttons on the side. He told her to get me the World of Warcraft mouse (Cataclysm Edition).
