The next Star Wars: The Old Republic planet to be revealed is the desolate and out of the way world of Ilum. Used as a source of light saber crystals and spiritual refuge, this planet has been safe guarded by the Jedi until the Sith turned their sights on Ilum. Having lost control over their sacred grounds, the Jedi are unsure of what the Sith's interest is in this world, but certainly this will be a mystery to solve once we finally get to play the game.

Recently the Empire launched a major assault against the Jedi on Ilum, destroyed the Order’s sanctuaries, and initiated an ambitious operation of unknown intent. With its forces already spread thin, the Republic has been unable to strike back in such a remote region, but what price might they pay for losing this valuable resource?
