With the success of StarCraft II, the upcoming launch of World of
Warcraft: Cataclysm, and the excitement for Diablo III building it
seems that Blizzard has quite a bit on their plate. However, despite
this overwhelming workload to oversee, In an exclusive interview with
GameTrailers.com, Michael Morhaime confirms once again that a new
secret MMO is in the works.

Calling the MMO genre “the most complex genre in computer
games” Morhaime doesn’t give us a clear idea of
what the new MMO will be, Morhaime does state that it will not be a
sequel to World of Warcraft and will hopefully be nothing like MMO
players have ever seen before. To achieve this Blizzard will have to
explore new boundaries and break barriers that have never been broken
before. While this may seem like a lofty task indeed we must ask
ourselves who would be better or more likely to achieve this than
Blizzard Entertainment?

While it would be easy to believe that this new MMO would easily
overshadow and spell the ruin of World of Warcraft, Morhaime puts fans
minds at easy by saying simply that that both World of Warcraft and
Blizzard’s new MMO should be able to coexist without either
feeling a strain. How this will be achieved and what exactly the new
MMO will be will be questions that will have to be answered sometime in
the future.

What would you like to see Blizzard do with it's newest MMO? Will other
Blizzard games suffer because of it?
