With all the controversy that tends to surround video games about violence at times, it's hard to picture a shooter being too popular with parents. But despite crazed lawyers with violence gaming delusions and grandstanding politicians, Global Agenda has managed to overcome the controversy of gaming and has earned favor with The National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA), who recently gave the online shooter the Gold for best holiday video game gift for teens 13 and up.

NAPPA recognition signifies that the winning product has been rigorously evaluated against stringent criteria and that it stands out among hundreds of other products from all around the world. NAPPA’s team of independent expert judges and family testers select the most entertaining, appealing, safe, educational, age-appropriate and enduring products as NAPPA Gold and Honors winners.

While Global Agenda may not be the best choice for education, it certainly is entertaining. And that was enough to make it a favorite of for a NAPPA team of independent expert judges and family testers.

The NAPPA judges elaborate, "One of our edgier entries in recent years, Global Agenda is a highly engaging strategy and action massively-multiplayer online game for teens. Players must communicate and collaborate as teams on leveled missions to overtake an oppressive world government and protect humanity. Although the crude humor and fantasy violence (ESRB Rating T for Teen) may not be right for all young people, our testers really enjoyed the futuristic weaponry and gadgetry they earn and use in the game, as well as the richly rendered world of the game."
