The good folks at Wowhead and MMO Champion have been busy digging into the depths of the latest beta build (that’s build 13277 for anyone who happens to be keeping count) for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and they’ve come up with some interesting stuff. Not too many surprises here but who cares when their biggest collective find are videos for the Moonkin Hatchling pets and Lil’ Ragnaros. The best part? They’re even more adorable in 3D!

Now I really want them. You know something else? The Moonkins are undoubtably the most adorable things I’ve ever seen in my four years of playing WoW but the Lil’ Ragnaros is also totally awesome. I kind of like being able to summon the defeated miniatures of endgame raid bosses to be my travelling and raiding companions. To that end, I politely request - nay, demand - a mini Algalon, Yogg Saron, Sindragosa and Kil’Jaeden. Ta Blizzard!

The other big thing worth noting is that Boubouille has also uncovered the Troll Druid flight form! Yes and, even better, there's video too! Unlike the Night Elf, Tauren and Worgen forms which are all bird-based, the Troll form is more, well batty. Think those great leathery bats you find around the Forsaken starting area but with a Troll's head. It's certainly one of the more unique forms in the game.

So, what else is there in this new patch? Well, Wowhead also uncovered some shiny new tabards that you can get by grinding the new Cataclysm faction rep. They’ve discovered tabards for the Wildhammer Clan, the Dragonmaw Clan, the Earthern Ring, the Guardians of Hyjal and Therazane. In keeping with Wrath, these should also help you get to Exalted a little faster.

For those of you still quietly amused by the whole Red Shirt Guy episode at BlizzCon, the model for his in-game homage - the Wildhammer Factchecker - had been updated. Here’s hoping his model makes it to the live realms. It’s highly unlikely but a girl can dream, right?
