Yesterday SOE teased us with some new lore about the upcoming Freeblood vampire race in EverQuest II (EQII). Today they unveiled more juicy (is juicy a good word to use around a vampire?) details about EQII's vampiric race complete with a new batch of screenshots. The screenshots provide a look at one of the Freeblood's more endearing features, a racial trait called “Reveal Inner Self,” which lets them switch from an attractive serene looking character into a demonic looking "I'll bite your face off and swallow your soul" looking creature, just as a vampire should. With any luck they won't reveal that they sparkle in next week's update, keeping my sanity intact. Check out the new images on the EQII website.

One of the special features of the Freeblood is a Racial Trait, “Reveal Inner Self,” which lets the character change from attractive to demonic in appearance. Another Racial Trait, "Bloodletting," grants a minor Lifetap spell to occasionally drain health from targeted enemies.
