You picked up World of Warcraft:Cataclysm on launch night, right? Did you and you and you? What about you? Well a lot you did as Blizzard has just released the day one sales. Can you guess how many copies of Cataclysm sold? Well Blizzard has announced they sold 3.3 million copies in the first 24 hours compared to the 2.8 million units that were sold when Wrath launched in 2008. According to the press release, this makes Cataclysm the fastest selling PC game of all time!

Blizzard also added that around 15,000 players attended the official launch events held in the US, Canada, France, Germany, Russia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, and Taiwan. Not bad eh? If you weren’t at one of the events, check out our coverage here
