FFXIV finally gets a searchable auction house!

Posted Tue, Dec 21, 2010 by Stow

FFXIV gets its final Christmas present tomorrow, with a major new feature enabling the search of Retainers, or its player-made auction house. This solves a major complaint of crafters, sellers, and basically the entire population. Add in a major content patch with new quests and craftables, and a massive upgrade to the responsiveness and accessibility of the interface, and you can see that Square Enix is keeping its word in busting out content to make the game worthwhile as quickly as possible. Is it enough to earn your dollars? Fear not, as the game is currently not charging a monthly fee until the developers deem it worthy. If you see it on a bargain shelf this season, it might be worth picking up a copy to jump in once the game has made enough fixes to your liking.
