Another year has come and gone in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallen Earth. To start 2011 off on the right foot, Fallen Earth Senior Game Designer Marie “Aro Sei” Croall has posted the first "State of the Game" of the year detailing some of the upcoming features for the game. Sector 4 is on the horizon and Croall offered up some new lore and concept art for the new content.

The Grainway was owned and operated by GlobalTech as an experimental ?farm of the future.? When the Shiva virus hit, their experiments got out of hand, resulting in the wall being built to keep Kaibab from being contaminated. The wall is one of my favorite parts of the sector—it's been keeping everyone and everything in the Grainway isolated, with some interesting results.

The devs plan to release Sector 4 for four counties. The first county, Alpha, is expected to hit the server in Q2 2011. But Sector 4 isn't the only thing in the works. The next game update is tentatively scheduled to deploy in February and add the Scavenger Boss System, the first pass of economic fixes and skill and mutation balancing. Check out the full "State of the Game" post for all the details.
