If you're itching for the start of Rift's fifth beta event later today, you might want to take the lull before the event to catch up on all the latest changes to the game. A comprehensive list of the Beta 5 patch notes has been posted to the official Rift forums, and it contains a lot of new changes and requested features, two of the more prominent being highly requested features from the last beta event with the implementation of a new Public Grouping feature, which will allow players to quickly join with others willing to group when fighting a rift as opposed to waiting around for a group invite. The devs have also added a PvP auto flagging option to prevent players from unintentionally flagging themselves for PvP.
