WoW Lead Designer Interviewed at MMO Gamer

Posted Tue, Aug 07, 2007 by Cody Bye

Everyone's mantra: Focus on fun.

The MMO Gamer just released a new interview with Lead Designer Jeffrey Kaplan, the brains behind the world side of World of Warcraft. If you love (or hate) a certain instance or dungeon, Jeffrey is the one to thank (or blame). The interview is quite thorough, taking in everything from current design themes to regrets about certain items of the game.

Well, I can’t promise about creating a time paradox and destroying the entire universe, but there are definitely some things that I would do differently. One thing that we’ve often talked about—that we could never change in WoW, but, I’d like to revisit the concept of in future games—was not locking the action bar in World of Warcraft.

Read (or listen) to the whole interview here.

I finally got myself a Razor Naga (Molten Edition)!

About a year ago, I really wanted a naga mouse for my birthday. However, my girlfriend goes to BestBuy and the jerk working there tells her that I wouldn't like the naga because its too hard to push the buttons on the side. He told her to get me the World of Warcraft mouse (Cataclysm Edition).
