Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) has served up a couple of new updates just in time for the weekend. To start things off, Lead UI Artist Michael Voigt has posted a new blog detailing his work on the UI for SWTOR. The blog contains a detailed breakdown of the process and some visual imagery that shows how the game's UI went from a basic shape to a detailed form with lots of nice colors and pictures. And if there is one thing we need in out MMOGs it's a simple, but detailed UI.

The second part of this week's update is a juicy new video that will have sith fans drooling and itching to get their hands on a shiny new lightsaber. The video provides a look at progression for the sith warrior and how this character grows in power as he advances to become one of the more powerful sith classes. Not only that, these guys can get some sweet looking gear. Check out the full video after the break.
