City of Heroes Goes Steampunk in June

City of Heroes (CoH) is going steampunk with the announcement of the CoH Steampunk Pack. The new Steampunk Pack will add new steampunk-themed costumes, auras, emotes and a Steam Jump Travel Power to the game. The new pack will be available for $9.99 in the NCsoft store on June 1st, 2011. Latest Steampunk Booster Pack filled with new costumes, travel power, auras and emotes

After having just celebrated its 7th anniversary, City of Heroes now offers characters the ability to travel the lands of Praetoria, Paragon City and the Rogue Isles with a fashionable Victorian touch. Whether strutting your stuff in new leather thigh high boots and a matching bustier or showcasing your finely waxed mustache before fighting your arch nemesis with your patented pistols, the newest City of Heroes accessory pack has everything you need to become a part of the Victoriana-noir style that is steampunk.

A complete list of features includes:

  • Steampunk Pack Costume Parts: The Steampunk Pack unlocks more than 60 new costume parts for all characters including heads, hairstyles, chests, belts, legs, boots, weapons, wings and for the first time ever, backpacks.
  • Steam Jump Travel Power: Harness the furious power and speed of steam to rocket through the air with the new Steam Jump travel power available at level 4.
  • New Auras: The Steampunk Pack offers two new tintable auras, including the Victorian Décor and the Clunker Aura, the first-ever path aura that allows characters to leave a customized, visible trail of oil and gears wherever they walk.
  • Emotes: Activate new character and Steampunk-themed costume change emotes including Inspiration, Train Whistle, Hot Temper, Oil Strike and Pressure Release.
