2K games, a publishing label owned by Take-Two Interactive has announced a new partnership with XL Games, the development team founded and led by Lineage creator Jake Song. The new partnership is for a new MMOG that will be developed by XL Games for the Asian market using one of 2K Games' yet to be named franchises. According to a report from Gamasutra, Song and his tam have been developing the game for over a year already and Song himself stated that the game is "one of the most exciting projects that I’ve ever undertaken".

Which one of the 2K games the MMOG will be based on has not been announced, but 2K Games has a deep library of some very interesting prospects that include: BioShock, the Civilization series, Dungeon Siege, Stronghold and others. Stay tuned and we'll update you when we have more details.
