Ragnarok Online fans will be able to get their gaming fix on the go with a new iOS version of the game titled Ragnarok Violet. Set to release on August 5th, 2011, Ragnarok Violet is a single-player game that will allow you to fight against familiar monsters from the game while traveling familiar areas from its MMORPG counterpart.

The game will be available as a free download via the Apple App Store and offer a microtransaction service for potions and various other items. Check out the official press release after the break for more.

Using potions fight your way through and explore dark caverns in search of quest items and tougher monsters to level up! Your pet will prove to be your friend by picking up your loot; don’t forget to feed him or he’ll run away.

Find or purchase various weapons and armor to better prepare for your battles.  Upgrade them and compound Monster cards into them for an even bigger advantage in combat!  Eventually you will be strong enough to battle it out with the iconic MVP bosses!
