Fae Yule: Remembering the Yulemother

Rift officially enters the holiday event fray with the newest World Event: Fae Yule. But rather than just throw up some decorations or instance in a seasonal boss, the team at Trion again flexes their content muscle and makes this event crucial to the continuing story of Telara.

Quest and reward vendors occupy their usual spots in Meridian and Sanctum, providing you with quests  to obtain event currency and the items to purchase with them.

Quests

The Attunement quest that will unlock the first round of dailies is given by Grandfather Frost, a festive looking bogling who is prone to wander about the event area at his own leisure. He tasks you with "A Lost Traveler", a quest which introduces you to the history of  Illuminaria, the Yulemother by reenacting her selfless acts of lighting the way for lost travelers. Completing this one time quest will open up 4 more daily quests.

The daily quests for phase 1 are pretty standard fare for world events. Two are rift based; closing air rifts and collecting items from the creatures you kill while closing them. The other two are story driven and take place in the capital cities or in their adjacent zones. Sadly there are no puzzle quests this time around, and our buddy Atrophinius has yet to arrive. But I'm sure with the promise of frivolity and mead, he is sure to turn up eventually.
