Trion Worlds has unveiled new lore about the Rift's enigmatic leader of the Defiant, Orphiel Farwind. The latest release details some of the lore surrounding the mysterious leader and several new screenshots. Orphiel is best known for his revolutionary theories on sourcestone and planar dynamics, but most notably, his successful resurrection of the fallen hero, Asha Catari and his work to create a new breed of Defiant ascended.

Few figures in Telara’s history are as controversial as Orphiel Farwind. Though a full account of his life and times is all but impossible to convey due to spotty records and Orphiel’s own silence, the following documents may shed some light.
