RIFT MMO News, Guides, and Features at Ten Ton Hammer

Trion Worlds is bringing a new world event to RIFT as a lead-in to the upcoming Storm Legion expansion. Details on the next update, 1.11: Tempest Rising, have been posted to the RIFT website and will bring an overhaul to the Ascended Soul system and a new World Event that boasts to change the face of Telara. The Tempest Rising World Event will challen players to fight off invasion forces targeting the capital cities of Meridian and Sanctum flooding in from the failing Ward. In addition, players that have pre-ordered Storm Legion will gain early access to the expansion's first dungeon, Exodus of the Storm Queen, with the release of the 1.11 update.

No solid release date for 1.11 has been announced as of yet outside of the usual “coming soon” statement, which for an idea on how that can go I point you to a post from Sapience over at Turbine.
