Posted Wed, Sep 26, 2012 by Martuk

It’s been a few months since the last major content update for Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), but this week the new content shipment has arrived. BioWare patched in SWTOR’s 1.4: Terror from Beyond update with last night’s maintenance. 1.4 brings improvements to the Group Finder feature, the Unify Colors option for companions, the new Terror from Beyond Operation and a number of balance tweaks a quality of life improvements.

Check out the 1.4: Terror from Beyond patch notes for all the latest changes and new content.

Tried the new op last night and it was pretty easy on story mode. This was with a group that are pretty much all at least rakata geared but we went in just to check it out without really being prepared. One shotted everything up to and including the second boss fight with no more preparation than a quick look at Dulphy's new guide. I couldn't keep going beyond that, but the group was going to. I wouldn't be surprised if they finished it. The general consensus of the group was that it is a lot easier than explosive conflict on story mode but that's hard to determine since story mode EC is apparently easier now.
I would hope that Terror from beyond hard mode is more challenging than explosive conflict hard mode.
