ArenaNet wants you. Guild Wars 2 (GW2) today kicked off a new competition set to run through Tuesday, December 3rd to encourage more players to make the jump to GW2 with the “Great MMO Migration” contest. The contest invites players to make and submit a 30 second video reciting the GW2 Oath for a chance to win one of several thousand free copies of GW2. What's this oath you ask?

"I, name, renounce adjective games and pledge my allegiance to Guild Wars 2. I likewise declare my freedom from adjective subscription fees! That I turn my back forever on noun which is/are totally adjective.

That I will take up arms to defend the noun and crush evil with my noun. I take this oath to Guild Wars 2 freely, without noun because I am adjective."

If you’re a bit camera-shy, ArenaNet is also slashing the price of GW2 by 40% for the duration of the contest. But if you don’t shy away from making videos, you can read the GW2 contest page for submission details and guidelines. And if you’re feeling a bit shy, just keep this video in mind and be aware that there are far more terrifying things on the web.

As part of the contest launch, ArenaNet headed down to Los Angeles and converted a cab to film unsuspecting passenger’s reactions to their new Tyrian cabbie. Give it a look below. You can also watch a few of the video submissions already sent in on the GW2 YouTube contest submission page.
