Ten Ton Hammer Video of the Day

In space, the whole Internet can hear you scream.

Say what you will about EVE Online, those guys know how to throw a party. And by party I mean a massive battle with thousands of players blowing each other to pieces in space and causing what equates to hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages. But today's video makes that massive amount of destruction all worth it.

While the total losses are still being tallied from the massive Battle of B-R5RB, it’s already being hailed as one of the most, if not the most, expensive battle in EVE’s 10 year history. A simple missed payment resulted in the sovereignty of a key system dropping. A massive battle between some of EVE’s biggest alliances ensued that has resulted in the loss of at least 75 titans, trillions of ISK, and a lot of pride.

With thousands of ships engaged in full scale battle, the dark space of EVE was filled with some beautiful colors. One player took a scout out to the massive battle to catch some impressive footage of the bright lights of massive weapons fire. The video is best watched in 1080p and is sped up to compensate for the Time Dilation mechanic used in EVE to slow down gameplay to combat lag. And that colorful sight is today’s video. Enjoy!

CCP will be posting some official numbers on the Battle of B-R5RB in the coming days. While you wait for that to arrive, you can check out more videos on the RooksandKings YouTube channel.
