Video of the Day: WildStar Reintroduces the Spellslinger

Ten Ton Hammer Video of the Day

Even in space there's room for the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Carbine continues to reintroduce each of WildStar’s previously revealed classes this week as a prelude to the big reveal of the final unannounced two. Today it’s WildStar’s badass cowboy (girl?) that takes center stage in the latest DevSpeak video. The Spellslinger is capable of healing allies by shooting them in the face. Grant it, that’s an odd way to be helpful but I digress.

When they’re not healing allies with friendly-fire blaster shots to the face, the Spellslinger dual wields Mag Blasters to deal high DPS and is capable of moving quickly around the battlefield with skills like void portal teleports and dash, making them a highly mobile class.

If all that sounds like fun, you can check out the Spellslinger in action in today’s video with that special pinch of DevSpeak humor.

Carbine will also be hosting another Twitch livestream event this Saturday at 12PM PST focusing on the Spellslinger class. You can also drop by Reddit on Thursday at 12PM PT for a developer AMA. In the meantime, you can read more about the Spellslinger on their new official class page.

So what class is your WildStar pick for launch?
