alt="Patch 5.2 Changes" />

New patches in World of Warcraft are
always exciting affairs. First comes the initial announcement, and we
spend days speculating on what new changes and additions will be
coming our way. Then shortly after the real deal is revealed, a full
set of patch notes combined with the new patch live on the public
test realms are provided for our nerding out pleasure.

Patch 5.2 is no exception to this rule
and we have been privy to both patch notes and the test realm at this
point. However, with an ever evolving list of changes and additions,
it can be hard to pick out the most juicy tidbits coming our way. In
this article we have weeded through the list and managed put together
five of our picks for the best changes and additions coming in World
of Warcraft Patch 5.2 for your viewing pleasure. Read onward to see
if our list matches yours.

Top 5 Changes and Additions Coming in
Patch 5.2

The Isle of the Thunder King

The Isle of the Thunder King is one of
the most exciting and expansive changes coming in Patch 5.2. Much
like the Isle of Quel'Danas, the Isle of the Thunder King will
require players to complete various tasks to gain a foothold in the
island. Each realm be unlocked progressively based on participation.
This island will become a major quest hub and also likely the
location for the major raid, the Throne of Thunder. Also found here
will be the Lightning Forge, a powerful forge that will allow
Blacksmiths the opportunity to create raid-worthy items as well as
classic items from World of Warcraft past. Needless to say the Isle
of the Thunder King will be a happening place to be in Patch 5.2.

Throne of Thunder

Nothing is more exciting than a brand
new raid and Patch 5.2 is bringing us the biggest one yet. The Throne
of Thunder will allow players to face off against the legendary and
now resurrected Emperor Lei Shen, the Thunder King. It will be up to
both Horde and Alliance to take out this big baddie and his Zandalari
allies and of course, collect the epic loots that comes from
defeating them.

Green Fire

In Patch 5.2 Warlocks will have the
opportunity to go on an epic quest line that will allow them to
change their fire spells to a spectacular green color. While this may
not seem like a big deal, most Warlocks are pretty exciting about it
and frankly I am too. In my opinion, class quests were long overdo
for a reappearance and hopefully we will see some other classes in
the future be able to take on class specific quests of their very
own.

World Bosses

World Bosses are back and bigger and
better than ever in World of Warcraft Patch 5.2. Nalak, the Storm
Lord and Oondasta will take the stage in the newest patch for players
brave enough and quick enough to beat out other players to take them
on. There is just something special about racing to catch the spawn
of a world boss and hoping that you defeat them because another guild
or group is waiting to take your place if you fail. I, for one, am
glad to see the return of the world boss in Patch 5.2 and hope to see
more

Buy the Farm

Sunsong Ranch is a huge hit. Almost
every player seems to adore the farm and everything that goes with
it. One of the only downfalls? Sunsong Ranch isn’t actually yours.
That all changes in Patch 5.2 when Farmer Yoon will relinquish the
rights to Sunsong Ranch for a price. Even better than making the farm
truly yours will be the fact that it will transform into a rest point
much like an inn. Players will be able to bind here and instantly log
out. Not exciting enough for you? Once owned the ranch will become a
reputation earning machine with work orders pouring in from the
various factions around Pandaria. Once these work orders are complete
reputation will be earned with the faction who issued the order.
Owning Sunsong Ranch will likely top many player's lists of things
they are most looking forward to.

That wraps up our list of top 5 changes
coming to a server near you in World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
Patch 5.2. Do any of these changes and additions make your personal
list? If not, what are you most looking for in the upcoming patch?
