There are so many glyphs to choose from and only a few places to put them. Here is my short and simple guide to Priest Glyphs. It narrows down your choices of glyphs to choose from depending on your spec and my thoughts on each of the glyphs that I have chosen.

Glyphs
are not necessary to heal your targets or slay your
enemies, but they sure can make things a lot easier to get the job done.

You
have 3 major glyphs and 3 minor glyphs; what goes into
the major glyphs are more important than the minor glyphs. I will
mainly be
focusing on what major glyphs you should select for your specific type
of
priest. For the majority of the time, what you put into the minor
glyphs is all
up to you. One minor glyph that I do recommend to all priests is
Levitate.You’ll
never have to worry about collecting feathers again!

Priest Glyphs

style="text-align: left; width: 550px;" border="0"
cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Guardian Spirit"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68656"> Glyph of Guardian Spirit Requires Level 60

If
your Guardian Spirit lasts its entire duration without being
triggered, the cooldown is reset to 1 min.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">I
will have to say that the guardian spirit glyph is fabulous. I
couldn’t wait to
get my hands on this glyph. With a lowered cooldown when the spell does
not get
a chance to take effect allows me to use the spell more often. style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Flash Heal"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68655"> Glyph of Flash Heal Requires Level 20

Reduces
the mana cost of your Flash Heal by 10%.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Since
we use this spell just as much as we do Greater Healing, I would
recommend this
glyph, because even if 10% does not seem like much, every little bit
helps. style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="circle of healing"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68748"> Glyph of Circle of
Healing Requires Level 50

Your
Circle of Healing spell heals 1 additional target.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">This,
I would say, is the best for raiding. Of course it’s best for
raiding! There’s
no such thing as a 6 person group! style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Prayer of Healing"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68754"> Glyph of Prayer of
Healing Requires Level 30

Your
Prayer of Healing spell also heals an additional 20% of its
initial heal over 6 sec.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">A
great glyph if you know you are going to be casting PoH a lot, which
most holy
priests are since we can now cast it for groups other than our own. style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Renew"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68750"> Glyph of Renew Requires Level 15

Reduces
the duration of your Renew by 3 sec. but increases the amount
healed each tick by 25%.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">The
loss of 3 sec isn’t very much, but the gain of
25% more healing, is pretty awesome! style="width: 33px; height: 31px;" alt="Spirit of Redemption"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68764"> Glyph of Spirit of
Redemption Requires Level 30

Increases
the duration of Spirit of Redemption by 6 sec.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Now,
I only recommend this glyph for the pure chance
that maybe you don’t have many situations to put good use
into the other glyphs
and there are times you just wish your SoR was up long enough to save
the
group/remaining raid members for that last couple of seconds. So, if
you feel
you may use this glyph, than do not be afraid to get it.

Shadow
Priest Glyphs

style="text-align: left; width: 550px;" border="0"
cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Mind Flay"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68745"> Glyph of Mind Flay Requires Level 20

Increases
the range of your Mind Flay spell by 10 yards, but it only
reduces the target's movement speed by 10%
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">This
glyph, I would say is more useful if you are going to raid/group. I
wouldn’t
recommend getting it before you reach max level, so that you get the
most use
out of the slowing effect that it does. style="width: 34px; height: 33px;" alt="Shadow Word: Death"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68752"> Glyph of Shadow Word:
Death Requires Level 62

Targets
below 35% health take an additional 10% damage from your Shadow
Word: Death spell.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">I
think the glyph pretty much speaks for itself, a
great glyph for raiding, soloing and grouping. style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Mind Sear"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68746"> Glyph of Mind Sear Requires Level 75

Increases
the radius of effect on Mind Sear by 5 yards.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">It’s
just great, if you have an extra major glyph
available, or do a lot of group killing with your raid/group makes it
useful. I’m
sure you’re with me and hate it when there are those one or
two mobs that sit
just outside of the AE. style="width: 34px; height: 33px;" alt="Shadowform"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68751"> Glyph of Shadow Requires Level 20

While
in Shadowform, your spell critical strikes increase your spell
power by 10% of your Spirit for 10 sec.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">A
great glyph, even for dual spec priests, such as
me who has more spirit than I think I really should have… style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Shadow Word: Pain"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68753"> Glyph of Shadow Word:
Pain Requires Level 15

Increases
the damage done by your Mind Flay spell by 10% when your
target is afflicted with Shadow Word: Pain
. style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">A
must have for Spriests who are raiding/grouping,
and with the talent to renew SW:P you can just Mind Flay till your eyes
pop
out!

style="font-weight: bold;">Discipline
Priest Glyphs

style="text-align: left; width: 550px;" border="0"
cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2">
style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Power Word: Shield"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68654"> Glyph of Power Word:
Shield Requires Level 15

Your
Power Word: Shield also heals the target for 20% of the absorption
amount.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">As
a disc priest you cast pw:s more often than any other spec of priest,
getting
more use out of the healing effect of the glyph. style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="Flash Heal"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68655"> Glyph of Flash Heal Requires Level 20

Reduces
the mana cost of your Flash Heal by 10%.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Flash
Heal is a pretty major spell for disc priests, getting that 10% off of
the mana cost can help a whole lot. style="width: 34px; height: 33px;" alt="Pain Suppression"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68653"> Glyph of Pain Suppression Requires Level 50

Allows
Pain Suppression to be cast while stunned.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Just
the thought of it is wonderful! alt="Penance" src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68652"> Glyph of Penance style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Requires
Level 60

Reduces
the cooldown of Penance by 2 sec.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Because
Penance is a major spell as a disc priest, this is a must have glyph. style="width: 34px; height: 32px;" alt="renew"
src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/68750"> Glyph of Renew Requires Level 15

Reduces
the duration of your Renew by 3 sec. but increases the amount
healed each tick by 25%.
style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">With
this glyph, it'll help make renew a more powerful spell to cast as a
disc priest, since you don't have talent points to boost it's power.
